Hi! And welcome to my checkered blog. Yes! Another food blog - just what the world needed! But alas, this is the only blog that will take you through the mind of, well, me!
I guess I can say I am a self-proclaimed foodie. I love food! I love making food. I love eating food. I love seeing food, smelling food, and now, for your enjoyment, writing about food! I've been eating ever since I was born, and cooking and baking ever since I can remember. So, if that fits your definition of a professional, then yay!
Let me back up a little. I do have a small (read: very small) business. It's just little ol' me, in my little ol' kitchen, crankin' out yummy things to eat! Check me out, I am at www.thelittlesaltbox.com. It's an ever-expanding, ever-changing business, but it's mine! (I'll get into the ever-expanding, ever-changing part later.)
I have also been published in several cooking magazines, cookbooks and on some recipe websites. I love experimenting in the kitchen and even my husband (Tyler, as you will come to know him) says that my best dishes are the ones I just make up off the cuff. And yes, I will share some with you, if you promise not to make them better than I do! I'm currently in the process of writing a cookbook - some of my favorite recipes - everything from soup to nuts! And a dear friend and I are in the beginning stages of writing a collaborative cookbook. (More on that later, as well).
So, as you can plainly see, I have some foodie/cooking/creating/eating background. And, that, my friends, is why you are here to read yet another food blog!
