Rides Like a Dream!

So, you may or may not know that my favorite color is orange. My car is orange, my purse is orange, my winter coat is orange (I'm on my second one). I have an orange watch, orange sneakers... are you getting the picture? What I don't have is this:

This would be a KitchenAid Stand Mixer in Persimmon. Oh, look at how pretty she is! She could easily slide right in between the two I already have!

Should would be so happy in my kitchen, knowing that I love the color orange! I would rub her with a diaper, much like crazy overzealous people do with their expensive cars. I could read her cookbooks at night when she can't sleep. I wouldn't use her. Oh no, she would never have to work. She would just sit on the counter and look pretty!

Oh how happy the two of us would be! Oh, but she needs a name! Pumpkin? Amber? Cheddar? Penny? Sweet Potato? I suppose one can't know until she is mine and settled in. But alas, since I have two KAs already, I think it's just a dream to add this golden beauty to my lineup.

*Sigh* someday, my love, someday...

In a Perfect World...

... I would have a "Food Network" kitchen, with gorgeous top-of-the-line appliances - a double oven, 6 burner stovetop, an indoor grill, huge fridge, the latest in small appliances, at least 3 Kitchen Aid Stand Mixers, a large capacity dishwasher (and someone to fill and empty it!), and a pantry that is always stocked to grocery store proportions!

I would have the best cookware, bakeware and always clean spatulas and spoons when I need them! Oh, and the maid, there has to be someone that cleans up behind me at any given moment.

In a perfect world, all I would have to do is dream it up, and all the ingredients are ready at my disposal! I would have it decorated in red and black or juicy citrus colors! It would be a huge kitchen with a large island in the middle with lots of stools for everyone to sit around and chat while I cook, and a prep sink with a water filtration system.

I would have a window over the sink and outside the window, would be potted herbs that I can just cut off what I need when I need it. There will be lots of light, both natural and artificial. The cabinet fronts would have beadboard and lightly frosted glass fronts, so I can show off my awesome dinnerware. In my perfect kitchen, there would be plenty of counter space, cabinets and drawers for everything!

I would have a stainless steel work surface for my cake decorating with rolling stools, so I can actually sit while I work!

Ahh, that would be my dream checkered kitchen. Please don't wake me up, please?!
